Domi [doh-mee] – the Greek word for structure.

Can you recognize the God or Hero that must be placed next to the similar one in order to continue the game structure? Be careful though, if your ‘suit’ character is missing from the rest of your tiles, you will be stopped until you pick up a tile that can be played! Be the first that chooses the best matching tiles, thy to prevent your opponents from placing all their tiles in the structure before you do, and become the Greek legend you always dreamed of being.

Domi  is an amusing picture recognition and number matching game for kids and adults. The 28 made to last cards have lively minimalistic, colorful sketches, featuring 7 of the most significant ancient Greek Gods and Heroes will make you have a real blast with friends and family.

Children must recognize the Gods and Heroes and then place down a domino tile that has the same character as the one that is at the end of the tiles on the table. Colors at the background can be also useful for younger children, helping them with color recognition. On the back side there is the traditional numbered dots, for children that just started learning numbers!!

Easy to set up, easy to play.

Before a game begins, the dominoes must be shuffled, so that no one knows the location of any given tile. Place all the dominoes face down (decide the side you want to play- gods or numbers) and mix them up. Each player gets 7 dominoes and keeps them in front of him hidden from others. The remaining dominoes are placed in the boneyard to be drawn from by a player when he/she cannot play a tile from his hand.

The player with the highest double (six- six, five- five etc) gets to play first. If you are playing from the Gods’ side, the youngest player that has a double starts first by placing the domino on the table face up. The players take turns clockwise, each placing a matching domino next to the last piece. Doubles are placed perpendicular to other dominoes.

If the player doesn’t have a matching domino, they must pick a domino from the remaining face down pieces until they get a matching domino. If there is no playable domino, then the next player gets to play.

A game ends either when a player plays all his tiles, or when a game is blocked. When a player plays his last time, tradition requires him to say “domino” (when this happens, the other players are said to have been dominoed. A game is blocked when no player is able to add another tile to the layout. In this case, the player that has the least dominoes left in hand is the winner of the game!!!
